What it does
Your sequencer sends one set of notes. Your instrument expects another.
NoteBridge sits between them in AUM and translates. Each row maps an incoming channel and note to an outgoing channel and note.
Tap the ear and play a pad on your hardware to fill in the input, or add a row and set the numbers yourself. Drag a number up or down to change it, or tap it to type. Notes show as numbers, or as names with octaves if you prefer.
Everything that isn’t a note passes through untouched.
Set it up in AUM
From pad to sound in four steps
1
Add NoteBridge
In AUM, add NoteBridge as a MIDI processor and open its window.
2
Route it
In AUM’s MIDI matrix, route your controller or sequencer into NoteBridge, and NoteBridge’s output to your instrument.
3
Learn a note
Tap the ear on a row and play a note. Or add a row by hand and set the numbers.
4
Or start from a preset
Tap ⋯ and load the built-in OP-XY → FAC Drumkit preset.
Opening the NoteBridge app itself shows the same steps.
Features
A whole map in a few taps
Learn
Tap the ear, play a note, done.
Rows keep their spacing
A new row keeps the spacing of the last one, so a full map takes a few taps.
Pass or block
Notes that no row maps either pass through or get blocked. You choose.
Channels in one go
Set the input or output channel of every row at once.
Panic
Panic ends every sounding note. Notes you hold while editing still end where they started.
Easy editing
Undo, swipe to delete, drag to reorder.
Presets
Save presets, share them by Mail or AirDrop, and import the ones others send you.
Hardware control
Map Pass/Block, Panic and mapping on/off to hardware controls in the host.
Made a good map? Share it
Name presets “Source → Target” so others know what they map. Send a good one to the developer from the preset menu and it may ship as a built-in preset.
€3.99, paid once. No in-app purchases, no account.

Common questions
How do I remap MIDI notes on iPad?
Load NoteBridge as a MIDI plugin in AUM, route your controller or sequencer into it and send its output to the instrument. Tap Learn, hit the pad or key you want to change, then set the note it should play. Channels are remapped the same way.
How do I import a preset someone sent me?
Save the preset file to Files first. Then, in NoteBridge, tap ⋯, choose Import… and pick the file.
My instrument makes no sound
Check AUM’s MIDI matrix: your controller or sequencer goes into NoteBridge, and NoteBridge’s output goes to the instrument. If Other notes is set to Block, only the notes your rows map get through.
A note keeps ringing
Tap Panic. It ends every sounding note.

Privacy policy
Last updated 13 October 2026
This policy covers the NoteBridge app and its Audio Unit plugin. NoteBridge is made and published by Tanel Teemusk. In short: the app collects no data.
What the app collects
Nothing. NoteBridge has no accounts, no analytics, no advertising and no tracking. Nothing about you or the way you use it is sent to me or to anyone else.
Your presets
Presets are stored only on your device. A preset leaves it only when you share it yourself, by Mail, AirDrop or another way you pick.
Send to developer
Send to developer opens an email to me with the preset attached. You write it and send it yourself; the app sends nothing on its own.
Children
Since the app collects no personal data from anyone, it collects none from children either.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the new version will be posted on this page with a new date at the top.
